Milliners Needles (Straw) Assorted

  • Tulip's superior quality milliners needles, also called straw needles, are the result of over 30 processes. Milliner's needles are longer than appliqué needles and are sometimes used for appliqué along with basting, binding and general hand-sewing, though originally designed for hat-making industry. The body (eye and shaft) is uniform throughout, ending with a sharp point to easily pierce fabric. Perfect needle for making French knots, bullion and other multiple-wrap stitches.
The needles are tempered by closely monitored heating & quenching to produce strong needles with just the right amount of flexibility. The eye of the needle is designed for easy threading and is polished thoroughly to prevent snagging.

The needles are finished with superior polish, lengthwise, making them glide effortlessly through the fabric. These needles are nickel-free for sewists concerned with allergies. Tulip needles embody the marriage of precision technology with 65 years of traditional needle production.
